A Brand New Mom

Babe is turning 9months this coming 26th and I am just so happy, we've come this far, safe, sound, healthy, strong and continuously growing.
In these crucial first months, I received solicited and unsolicited advice from different opinionated people - doctors, mothers, books - that there came a point where I felt paralyzed, immobilized even demoralized by the number of competing options I am facing every chance I got to decide when it comes to babe.
Finally, I rest my case, I am The Mother, I am the one who knows my baby way back when he is still an embryo - when only I could tell he just somersaulted or is in hiccup's spell - hence it is just my right, and it is just right that I took responsibility on how to raise him, together with my husband, our baby's life is our responsibility. And I know the love that circles our brand new family will prevail.
Hey moms, dads, and enthusiasts, watch out for the ups and downs of a household with a baby turning toddler everyday!

Life gets even more exciting! :D

Baby's First Food

Personally, I decided to breastfeed babe for the whole first 6 months of his life. It takes a lot of effort and sacrifice but it's all worth it. And now that he is now older than 6 months, it is time to introduce him to "solid" food. Pedia agreed to my terms as to make sure that babe's tummy is ready enough. :)

On the average, a mom can introduce solids anytime around 4 to 6 months and as the mother you'll know when he is ready. But below that age, all he need is breastmilk or formula and that is enough to nourish him and that is all he can handle so if you are excited (I know you are, been there... done that...) but babe was not aged enough, hold to your horses and just prepare yourself! For in this post, I'll be sharing what I feed my babe! :D Eating time is bonding time! It's messy though, but the point is, it's fun! Discovering babe's favorite and his reaction to certain flavors are so priceless! hehehe

I know that babies should start with mashed veggies and fruits, even the excess rice water when cooking is good for him too. But whenever we are out and about and there is no available mashed food, these are the food-in-a-bottle that I love for grab and go!

Heinz Baby Food
Gerber Baby Food and Juices
Nestle's Cerelac
Nutri Del and Promina
What I do is prepare him his bottle of water and his special plastic teaspoon (make sure the teaspoon doesn't have sharp edges to avoid hurting babe's gum)
Heinz Teething Rusks (Php398.00)

This is one expensive teeter I think it's not worth it. It's 12 pieces packed by two's with the length and just chubbier than my point finger! It's good because it has no added sugar, etc etc but when babe decided to throw it away after licking it, its gone to the trash. :/ Plus its packed by two's so you should use the second piece as well or else it'll become moist! Boo!
Aside from Gerber juices and real fresh squeeze fruit juices, I give babe a teaspoon of Riovida for immunity booster! :D
It's so priceless. hehe
love you baby JC!

Sesou Haul - Giga Baby Insect Repellant Spray, Milea Baby Baby Cleaner and Human Heart Nature Kids All Natural Spray Sanitizer

Babies have a sensitive skin. They easily get rashes and allergies from chemicals and harmful substance. So what would a mommy should do? Buy products that are safe and all natural just like products from Sesou!
Below are the first things babies should have on their baby bags, anytime and anywhere they go!

Giga Baby Insect Repellant Spray
giga

All mommies are afraid of dengue-carrying-mosquitoes! What to do? Spray on this Giga Baby Insect Repellant Spray (php185.00) of course! This repels not only mosquitoes but all typical bugs and insects without DEET which is a harmful chemical, safe for babies means mommies can use it too! Yay! The thing is, it has a lingering smell of lemongrass, so you'll either love the lemongrass goodness or hate it. Try it out first before paying. Good thing they have testers. :) Aside from baby's skin, this repellant spray could also be use on surroundings like bed, linen, mosquitero (bed net) and bay's clothing! :D

Human Heart Nature Kids All Natural Spray

This kids spray sanitizer comes in two colors pink and blue. Pink is cotton candy if I'm not mistaken, and this blue is bublly gum. Pink is cute and all but I love the scent of this monkey popping bubble gum for my kiddo so I picked this up instead. For Php75.00, this is a scrumptious way to spray away germs! All natural, and like always, Human Heart Nature products are 100% Chemical Free!

Milea Baby Baby Cleaner
milea baby

This Milea Bath & Body product is my savior! Whenever babe poop outside the house and water is no where available, my baby wet wipes and this handy-dandy baby cleaner are there to the rescue! Leaving baby clean and fresh! This spray bottle can clean even baby's face and hand. What I do is I spray this directly on his genitals and then wipe it off with wet wipes, same goes to his hands and extremities before spraying HHN kids sanitizer.  But when it comes to his face, I spray the wet wipes before wiping his face, that way I avoid spraying his little sensitive eyes and mouth. :)

I feel ready and armed to go out and about with my babe without worrying about sanitation and how to keep him clean all the time. :) These products are sO mommy-friendly! They're my new BFFs! lol

What Babies Long For - T.L.C.

Tender Loving Care

The moment I conceive is the moment I start feeling love. A special kind of love for a special kind of relationship.

And now that the gift is out of the box,  it is time to show some loving!

Babies need good health and energy to prep themselves to learn and grow, and mommies should always be there to give his basics. First thing I do, is to make sure his immunizations and vaccines are up-to-date.

(at NAIA Terminal 2, waiting for my dad's plane from HongKong)

Tuck him to bed, after playing in the morning, siesta in the afternoon and at night. Sleep is essential to baby's growing brain, and rapid-eye-movement sleep makes the brain cells do the things like enabling him to think, move and learn everyday thru touch, sight and interaction.

I breastfeed him whenever, wherever. If you are a bfeeding mom like me, don't be shy on giving babe what he needs, you are actually giving public a favor, they should learn and respect that breastfeeding is as natural as breathing.

Bath time means play time! He loves to play with the water. :) He knows that 12pm strikes bath time and he really anticipate that part of the day everyday! :D

So, how do you show your baby some TLC? Share 'em up!
