Last May 21 was my 4th time in the first Blogapalooza for 2016! (I heard a bee buzzing around saying that they might be holding 2 Blogapaloozas for this year) Blogapalooza, by the way, is the biggest channel of business-to-blogger events in the Philippines. This year, the event was held at the Prosperity Hall, Elements, Eton Centris and was hosted by, none other than the half of the duo behind Tower Radio on Jam 88.3, Ms Vannah Pacis. Blogapalooza as always, is a jam-packed interactive occasion through various presentations, booth-hopping, celebrity appearances, informative talks and raffle prizes.
What I brought?
My one card that would hopefully slit two birds in one swoosh! My trusty Asus Selfie for camera and SNS. My mobile internet – this time by the way, Blogapalooza offered internet connection via Smart. 2 Powerbanks, favorite pens from Sharpie and my Competitiveness!
Talks included:
10:30 AM - “Blogging as a Business” by one of my favorite mommy bloggers, Ms. Ginger Arboleda of gingerarboledas.com and CEO of Manila Workshops
12noon – “Content Strategy and Building A solid Follower Base” brought by Youtuber na, author pa! and all around funny man Lloyd! His face is famous for various memes! I like his presentation on stage – light, fun, witty! And the toyo challenge, grabe! You have to watch it on Youtube if you haven’t already!
“The first lesson in constructing viral content is having the strength, courage, andself-confidence to get in touch with your own feelings, thinking about what profoundly affects you.” – Ken Poirot
1:45 PM – “Panel: How Brands can Work Best with Celebrities and Influencers” by Norman Agatep of Grupo Agatep, Matec Villanueva of Publicis Manila, actor/blogger Mikael Daez and courtside reporter/blogger Erika Padilla
2:30 PM – “Strategic Blogger Relations” by Engr. Grace Bondad-Nicolas of TAG Media and PR
4:30 PM – “Videos as Effective Marketing Tools” by Miguel Olfindo, cinematographer, self-proclaimed technology addict and CEO of New Media Factory. I like how he explained himself through various videos – simple, straight-forward, hit home.
There were surprise celebrities visits like Bluewater Day Spa ambassadress, Bianca Guidotti and a surprise date game with Christian Bautista! The fortunate blogger to have a secret date with Mr. Bautista is the girl behind the couple blog, Yogo and Crean, Me-an! Yes, couple blog! Yes, Lloyd didn’t mind!
The event is co-presented by Arla Philippines and Cocio, two of the most scrumptious and prominent brands in the market. Aside from them, Hotteok King provided flavored fried rice and overflowing red and iced tea. Vita Coco refreshed and hydrated us with free-flowing coconut water and Nescafe served ready to drink Nescafe Mocha.

Eto na, since wala akong na-get sa raffle prizes at kulelat ako sa mga booth games, nagjoin ako sa mga games on stage! My prize? Not one, but two (from 2 different games) lifetime supply of Ponds!
What I like best from Blogapalooza Horizons: Charting the Uncharted?
1- The perks of having a plus 2 was so appreciated for a mommy blogger like myself. Thank you for that generosity Blogapalooza Team! I gotta be honest here, so I also like that there are a lot of booths offering refreshments and food. Ito talaga ang dahilan kaya nakaya naming mag-stay from start to finish, unlike last year, that we had to go and search for food tapos hindi na kami bumalik. The place was well-ventilated. Good wifi reception (we brought our own mobile internet although they also provided an internet access). Mas konti ang booths ngayon, which is unbelievably on the plus side because we took our time on each booth hop. Hindi nagmamadali at lahat talaga sila eh nakausap namin. Hindi lang Arla ang malaman that day, the talks are malaman, masarap, at nakabubusog. Very informative and I learned a lot on branding. I like how Erika Padilla explained the importance of being your true self and continue lang, go lang ng go. Tiwala lang! And Sir Migs presentation about videos is really simple yet sapul.
What did I like the least?
Venue lang. Hoping next year sa SM Aura ulit.
That name tag didn't even last an hour. #gerilenmbf
That's it pancit! Thank you so much Blogapalooza for creating a social interactive event for bloggers. More power!
I'll end this post with Ms. Ace Gapuz' last words for Blogapalooza.
"This is only the beginning!"
Kaya abang lang kayo, detailed posts about the booths are on its way. Keep your eyes peeled!
